EDMONTON, Alberta, March 22 (UPI) -- A German family, saying they want to avoid persecution by home-schooling their children, are seeking asylum in Canada, authorities say.
The family will appear before Canada's Immigration and Refugee board in Alberta Tuesday, requesting asylum on the grounds the parents fear they could be locked up and their children taken away by German authorities, The Globe and Mail reported Monday.
